How Do I Visit an Inmate in Rockville City Jail?
Residents may schedule visits by calling the Montgomery County Correctional Facility (MCCF) or the Montgomery County Detention Center (MCDC) Visiting Desk. Parties should note that although the MCDC is a pretrial booking facility that houses all categories of inmates, it transfers inmates not bonded within 72 hours to the MCCF.
MCCF visitation takes place every day, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. For the MCDC, visitation is on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm on each day.
Both facilities allow inmates to receive a maximum of 2 persons per visit, where one may be an infant or a minor child. All eligible visitors may receive two visits per week, each lasting one hour. However, overseeing officers may shorten visits for operational reasons.
Visitors must be at least 18 years old or visit accompanied by parents or guardians. All persons must present valid state photo identification, such as a driver's license or other photo ID that shows the holder's residential address. Visitors may also use passports to provide a second form of ID that lists the holder's home residence.
Visitors must not appear in revealing, tight, or otherwise provocative clothing. The facility does not permit tube tops, see-through materials, halter tops, skirts above the mid-thigh, and other inappropriate clothing.
